Flysurfer Psycho 4

The Flysurfer Pscho 4 follows in the footsteps of its predecessor Psycho 3 and impresses as a radical freestyle kite with big safety reserves. The enhanced agility of the Psycho 4 in combination with the direct feedback enables superior control supporting you with more confidence when learning new tricks.

Consuming two years of development time, the Psycho 4 delivers a totally new innovation to kite design. The Psycho 4 is the first kite that utilizes three effects - Triple Depower System - to achieve its incredible Depower:

The angle of attack changes
The projected size of the kite changes
The airfoil camber changes

The Psycho 4 impresses by combining these 3 characteristics, resulting in an extremely wide sweet-spot where the Psycho 4 delivers its optimum performance. In contrary, tube kite only uses the change in angle of attack in order to achieve its depower effect.

The turnability is another milestone in the development of the Psycho 4. The Psycho 4 is by far the narrowest and fastest turning kite that Flysurfer has ever built before! The Psycho 4 is predestined for radical Free- and Wakestyle. The Psycho 4 masters any kind of kiteloop with ease. It's definitely the kiter who sets the limits.

The steering forces of the Psycho 4 can be adjusted individually as desired. An Innovation is the Depower Performance Enhancer which makes it possible to alter the depower characteristics to your own preferences. The depower profile can be changed directly by opening and/or closing the middle air intake valve (in 3 steps).

Open Valve: The profile is clean and accelerates more when depowering. The forward pull is higher. This setting is especially recommended for maximum performance and light wind conditions.
Closed Valve: The depower effect feels more direct because the depowered profile is more concave at the leading edge. The acceleration of the kite is reduced for the benefit of a more direct and increased depower. This setting is especially recommended for learning new tricks and for kiting in waves.

The Psycho 4 comes with Flysurfer's ususal 6 month Free-Repair Warranty even though durability of the Psycho 4 outperforms its predecessors.
